The North East Regional branch of the Assemblies of God (AG) Church, led by its Regional Superintendent, Rev. Baba Issifu Alhassan, has assured the government of the Church’s continued support in the region.
On Thursday, September 18, 2025, Rev. Alhassan, together with a delegation of District Pastors, paid a courtesy call on the North East Regional Minister, Hon. Ibrahim Tia.
During the meeting, Rev. Alhassan reaffirmed the Church’s commitment to national development, highlighting the Assemblies of God’s contributions in health and education, including the AG Hospital in Nakpanduri and several schools across the region. He further expressed the Church’s readiness to partner with government in initiatives that foster growth and transformation.
Hon. Tia, in response, expressed his gratitude, stating:
“Assemblies of God Church is the President’s church, so I feel highly honored to have you.”
He commended the Church’s good works, encouraged its leaders to continue preaching the truth of God’s Word, and requested prayers for peace and deliverance from challenges such as illicit drug abuse and communal conflicts affecting the region.
The delegation prayed for God’s wisdom, protection, and blessings upon the Minister and the entire North East Region. As a symbol of fellowship, they presented a Holy Bible and an AG calendar to the Minister.
