In a heartfelt outreach, the Cedar Word Institute’s Adult Sunday School Department of Cedar Mountain Chapel Int – AG headed by Rev. Stephen Wengam, in collaboration with Let the Fire Fall and the Youth Ministry, paid a compassionate visit to the Senior Correctional Centre of the Ghana Prisons Service.
This initiative aimed to spread the love of Christ and foster fellowship with the residents of the Centre. The team brought not just words of encouragement but also much-needed supplies. Their donation included essential items such as food, toiletries, and stationery to support the day-to-day needs of the Centre.
During the visit, the team engaged the residents with uplifting messages of hope, inspiring testimonies, and heartfelt prayers. A short but vibrant worship session brought smiles to many faces, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth and positivity. For many of the residents, it was a rare moment of connection and spiritual renewal.
The leadership of the Senior Correctional Centre expressed profound gratitude for the gesture, emphasizing the impact such visits have on the morale and outlook of the residents. They encouraged other organizations to emulate this act of kindness, highlighting the importance of community involvement in supporting rehabilitation and reintegration efforts.
