Pentecost University Hosts 2025 James McKeown Memorial Lectures on Reshaping Cultures, Generations, and Systems

Gomoa Fetteh, Ghana — Pentecost University has successfully organized the 2025 edition of the James McKeown Memorial Lectures at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) under the theme “Reshaping Cultures, Generations, and Systems.”

The event brought together scholars, clergy, and Christian thinkers to reflect on how faith-based leadership and academic engagement can shape cultures, mentor future generations, and influence social systems in line with biblical values.

Delivering the welcome address, Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye, Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, urged participants to embrace the call to transform the world through godly principles. “The Church and Christian academia must work hand in hand to model righteousness and reform the systems that govern society,” he emphasized.

Three distinguished scholars of The Church of Pentecost led the main presentations:

  • Apostle Professor Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, Vice-Chancellor of Pentecost University – Reshaping Systems

The James McKeown Memorial Lectures serve as an intellectual and spiritual platform for the church’s members and academia to honor the legacy of Pastor James McKeown, the founder of The Church of Pentecost, whose ministry laid the foundation for generations of transformational Christian leadership.

This year’s edition reaffirmed Pentecost University’s commitment to advancing theological scholarship and supporting the broader vision of transforming every sphere of society through Christ-centered education and leadership.
