The Church of Pentecost, Sogakope Area, has held its 2025 Virtuous Ladies Conference with a call on Christian women to uphold holiness, integrity, and service in their daily lives.
The conference, held at the Sogakope Central Auditorium, was themed “Daughters of Honor: Walking Worthy of Your Calling” (Ephesians 4:1, 1 Peter 2:9).
Deaconess Irene Awumey Lartey, Area Women’s Leader, explained that the Virtuous Ladies Concept was introduced to correct the misconception that the Women’s Ministry was meant only for elderly or married women. She said the initiative sought to channel the energy, vision, and vibrancy of young women to make them strong pillars of both the church and society.
She reminded participants that walking worthy of one’s calling required reflecting God’s holiness, fulfilling divine assignments with humility, love, and excellence. She added that the conference also served as a platform for mentoring, discipleship, and the development of godly character, aimed at preparing women to positively influence their generation.
Pastor Edward Brains Agidi-Quarshie, Sogakope Area Head, speaking on the topic “Set Apart for His Glory: Living Pure in an Impure World” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-4), cautioned against the growing trend of cohabitation, describing it as contrary to biblical teachings on marriage, sexual purity, and commitment. He urged young women to overcome such temptations through prayer and devotion to God’s Word.
Mrs. Cynthia Ofosua Quarshie reminded the women that they were fearfully and wonderfully made by God, encouraging them to value themselves as children of God whose bodies were temples of the Holy Spirit. She further advised them to dress modestly and decently, reflecting their identity in Christ and distinguishing themselves from worldly lifestyles.
Some participants expressed appreciation for the programme, describing it as refreshing and transformative. They said the messages challenged them to remain focused on the kingdom business while upholding moral values. Others also noted that the conference had strengthened their resolve to raise their children in godly ways.
The event, which brought together women from across the Sogakope Area, featured worship sessions, drama, and music ministrations, and was climaxed with the slogan: “Holiness Unto the Lord; Virtuous Ladies: We Live for Christ.”
